What Is Tixel?
Tixel is a new and unique skin resurfacing technique that uses thermo-mechanical ablation technology to treat a wide range of skin conditions. Tixel can improve the skin's tone and texture and provide anti-aging results for fine lines and wrinkles. Tixel is innovative since it uses direct heat energy instead of lasers to offer improvements in the appearance of your skin and promote new collagen production deeper down. There are also quick recovery times, less pain, and reduced downtime. Common areas of treatment include around the eyes, eyelids, mouth, and neck. To learn more about all of the benefits of this treatment, contact Laser & Skin Surgery Center of Pennsylvania in Devon, PA.
How Does Tixel Work?
With this unique technology, no topical or injectable anesthesia is typically needed, since there is usually no significant discomfort. Cold air may be directed at the area during treatment to make it more comfortable. Your treatment will begin by cleaning and prepping your skin. During treatment, the handpiece that contains the metal stamping device will pass across your skin and deliver short bursts of heat within the grid until your treatment is complete. Tixel treatments typically last 10 – 20 minutes. Your skin may feel warm, tight, or slightly sensitive after, and you may experience some minor redness and swelling after treatment, which should resolve within a couple days.

Provider was pleasant, approachable, well versed, and took good care of me. I will continue to see her for care.
Dermatologist was helpful and addressed my questions. There was not wait and a lot of helpful advice was given.
Very clean office, super friendly staff, got in right away and Stephanie was great. Would highly recommend!
Stephanie was great! She listened to me, which is what I was looking for and she talked to me about all of my options to help my hormonal acne and didn’t force anything upon me that I didn’t want to try. I felt really good leaving the office and am very excited to start the products she recommended me, and I can’t wait to see her again in 3 months for a follow up! Highly recommend!
